DEEP (Stage Dive #4) by Kylie Scott - Pre Release Day Blitz
DEEP excerpt:
His laughter, it didn’t really sound the smallest bit amused. “Christ. You’re done here.”
“Ah, no. I’m actually not. Now see, this is where we have a problem.” I folded my arms. Then unfolded them because like fuck I’d look defensive. He was the one in the wrong, not me. “You’re not prepared to take me, or my feelings, seriously. What you want is to hide away in Mr. Too Cool for Commitment land and just play with my affections when it suits you. Okay, I’ve accepted that. But none of that means it’s okay for you to come in here and act like you’re the boss of me. None of it.”
“That so?” he asked, leaning down so that we were almost nose to nose.
“That’s so, baby.” I play-punched him in the shoulder, which it should be noted, I barely came up to. Okay, so maybe the alcohol on a mostly empty stomach had made me slightly/lots braver/sillier. “So why don’t you take your little caveman jealous tantrum bullshit somewhere else. See, I do this funny thing I like to refer to as whatever the fuck I want. Understand?”
He just stared.
“And as pretty as you are with your beard and your muscles, you are too damn tricky and . . . complicated and shit for me.”
“I am?”
“Yes, you are. Are you finally seeing my point here?”
“You bet.”
“Excellent. So take your hotness elsewhere, kind sir. I want no part of it!” Huh. I had so told him. Drunken bravado was the best.

Excerpt
I run my fingertips over the blue-and-silver paintwork as I walk toward the back end. Bending over, I start poking around, taking a look at the engine.
“Please tell me that you’re my birthday present.”
The Irish drawl has the hairs on the back of my neck standing on end.
I turn my head to find Carrick Ryan standing behind me.
Oh. Wow.
He’s definitely better looking in the flesh than on television. I knew he was attractive. But blonds aren’t usually my thing. I’m more of a dark-hair-and-dark-eyes kind of girl.
But his dirty-blond hair, blue eyes laced with sin, and full lips—the kind of lips you spend hours sucking on—and that chiseled jaw decorated with stubble…yep, it all seems to be working for me. Well, my body anyway. Definitely not my head. Man-sluts are not my thing.
My eyes meet with his as he lifts them from blatantly staring at my arse. The look in them hits me straight in the gut, surprising the hell out of me. His eyes are profoundly blue and filled with heat. My skin starts to prickle as his intense stare burns me up.
I’ve never had such an instant visual reaction to a man before.
Fuck.
Take it easy, Andi. This isn’t a problem. You’ve met good-looking men before. You can turn this off. Drivers are a no-go area, especially ones you work for.
My job is too important to lose over a man.
Straightening, I turn to face him.
“Hello,” I say in my most confident and formal voice.
I get nothing back, and that’s because he hasn’t heard me. He’s too busy staring at my breasts.
Typical man.
I have the sudden urge to punch him in his handsome face.
But I won’t because I’m a professional. I’ll handle this in the best way I know when it comes to dealing with pervy dickheads like him.
“It’s your birthday?” I say sweetly, my smile a little on the flirtatious side.
He grins. “It sure is, and it’s definitely looking up now that you’re here. Are you going to make it extra special for me, sugar?”
He thinks he’s about to get lucky.
Far from it. Smarmy twat.
I tilt my head to the side, keeping the flirty smile on my face, as I walk up to him until there’s very little space between us. I press my fingers to his chest. God, that’s firm. I can feel the ridge of his muscles underneath my fingertips.
He’s tall, too, a good few inches higher than my five-nine. I’d say he’s six-one, which is tall for a driver, but he’s lean. He needs to be to fit into those cars. I bet, under those clothes of his, there’s nothing but toned muscle. Drivers have to be seriously fit, and Carrick Ryan certainly ticks that box on both counts.
Now, I’m imagining him naked. Great. Just fucking great.
I force my focus back to the now. “Well…” I lean in closer to him, hearing him suck in a sharp breath. I lower my voice as I whisper, “If you ever call me sugar again, you won’t see your next birthday. That’s for sure.”
He tilts his head back in amusement. “Feisty. I like it.”
I take a step back, dropping my hand from his chest. “There’s nothing here for you to like.”
His eyes run the length of me, lingering on my legs, the lusty look firing in them again. “I see plenty to like. Jesus…your legs go on forever.”
I wish I had something to hide my legs behind. Instead, I fold my arms to bring his focus up. “I’m not your type.”
Lifting his eyes back to mine, he gives me a confident smile. “Amazing arse. Great stems. Awesome rack. Beautiful face. Yep”—he nods—“you’re definitely my type.”

Prick (A Stepbrother Romance) by Sabrina Paige
Caulter Sterling is a prick.
A filthy-mouthed, womanizing, crude, spoiled, arrogant prick.
The tattooed, pierced, panty-melting-hot son of a celebrity.
I hate him.
He's slept his way through practically every girl at Brighton Academy.
Except for me.
I'm the good girl. The responsible girl. The 4.0, class president, studied-so-much-she-never-lost-the-big-V girl.
And in celebration of graduation and adulthood, I just made the worst decision in the history of ever.
I lost my V-card to the devil himself.
It was just one night. So what if it was mind-blowing? Hit it and quit it.
Except I just found out that my father - the Senator, the Presidential hopeful - is marrying Caulter's mother. Oh, and this summer? We're hitting the campaign trail.
One big happy family.
I'm totally f**ked.
The Deal (Off Campus #1) by Elle Kennedy - Review
Blurb:
She’s about to make a deal with the college bad boy...
Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she’s carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush’s attention, she’ll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice…even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.
...and it’s going to be oh so good.
All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he’s worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he’s all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn’t take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn’t going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.

Kristine's Review:
Reviewed: March 2015.The Deal was my first book by Elle Kennedy, and as I sit here writing this review I ask myself why I have never picked up one of her books before. This college age drama revolves around two fairly stereotypical characters, the sexy, man whorish, jock Garrett Graham and the smart, savvy yet quiet Hannah Wells, this is however where the stereotype ends. Garrett may be everything I just described, but in addition to that he's also intelligent, funny, and caring. Hannah is not a nerd nor a sorority girl, she's smart, dedicated to her studies, and a talented music major.
When almost the entirety of her philosophy class flunks an exam, including the sexy as sin Garrett, Hannah's stellar grades and grasp on this tricky subject make her the perfect person to tutor him, there by securing his spot on his beloved ice hockey team. Despite her non interest in becoming involved with Garrett, his social connections, and in turn his ability to put her in the path of her long time crush football player Justin Kohl is too hard to pass up.
What I adored so much in this story is the witty banter between Garrett and Hannah, he's cocky as hell, but she is never one to back down, snarky, sarcastic jibes at one another, an undeniable chemistry draws you in instantly. Where Kennedy could have kept this story incredibly light and airy, she instead created such fully developed characters, characters that have baggage and pasts full of secrets and hurts, serving to further enamour me with not only the hero and heroine but will the story building around them. Dealing with topics will sensitivity and courage The Deal despite being at times hilarious packs an emotional punch.
As a reader I love picking up a title that you can sink your teeth into, that draws you in effortlessly and takes you on a rollercoaster ride with it, there is a beautiful fragility in watching two people learn to let go and trust one another beyond rhyme or reason, but more than that it's joyous to read a book that has you so invested in the characters that you crave their interactions, long to read their thoughts and experience their story flipping through the pages as you struggle to slow down to savour their journey.
I went into The Deal almost blind, I had no more of an idea of what it was about than a college drama, and yet within the first page my tummy was filling with that nervous energy that always hits when I discover something special, this may have been my first novel by Elle Kennedy but it certainly wont be my last.

Kristine's Review:
Reviewed: March 2015.I thought I couldn't possibly feel anything more for Martin and Kaitlyn... How very wrong I was. I'm loving these two, and Reid pulls away the layers and we discover so much more about this pair, I find myself more and more invested, more intrigued, more desperate to know everything about them.
Heat picks up right where Attraction left off, with Kaitlyn navigating this house party desperate to hide away, both her heart and herself. After witnessing something that confirms for her that she gave her trust too willingly, she's left feeling alone and full of regrets. When Martin eventually finds her and they have a chance to discuss what happened we as the reader finally believe these two might have a chance at discovering what this is between them. Do I sound deliberately vague? That's because I am, this is story you need to experience for yourself, you need to feel every little nuance of the story as Reid pulls you in and demands your attention.
What I'm loving so much about this story is the growth we see in Kaitlyn, this quiet, reserved girl is blossoming before our eyes, she's finding the strength to say what she thinks, be damned the consequences. Martin has the kind of volatile strength to over run Kaitlyn's quieter sensibilities, but as he learns to pull back and think more about how he effects those around him, Kaitlyn is learning to voice her thoughts and be stronger in the knowledge that her opinions matter. She's the kind of female character I adore as she opens herself up to the experience of discovering who she is and what she wants to be.
Penny Reid once again you hold me captive with your words, you have drawn me in and I don't even want to let go, waiting almost desperately to see where you take this story next.
