Blurb:
Former Olympian turned physical therapist to the elite Julia Bailey knows all about pushing the limits. But when a sexual harassment suit costs her a dream job—not to mention her reputation—she takes on the biggest risk of her life. Rehabilitating the X Games’ most notorious bad boy might be just what she needs to secure the funds for her own treatment center. Problem is, the only kind of recovery her new client is interested in is under-the-covers freestyle—gear optional.
Daredevil snowboarder Noah Hunt is a rock star—on and off the slopes. A recent accident might have him down, but he’s far from out. He doesn’t care what the sexy therapist with the sweet curves says. He’s got sponsors to impress and trophies to collect, and taking things slow and steady just ain’t his style. A little dirty talk and a sizzling night later, Julia learns just how fast and hard he likes to play. Too bad for him, his heart goes all in, and one wrong move could cost him more than just his career.

Kristine's Review:
Reviewed: March 2015.I fell in love with Skye Jordan reading her Renegades series, strong alpha boys, sexy independent women, what's not to love, but The Risk held me captive from the first page. I went into this book completely blind, I hadn't read the blurb, I had no idea in which direction Jordan was taking her new series, but stepping into the world she created I was instantly enamoured by Julia Bailey, former Olympic gold medal winner, turned physical therapist to elite athletes. She had spent the years following the end of her Olympic career honing her skills and building a highly respected clientele until sexual harassment suit leaves her without her dream job and the reputation she worked so hard for.
Noah Hunt is a God on the slopes, daredevil snowboarder extraordinaire is living the high life, competing in extreme snowboarding, feeling the rush of adrenaline only it can bring, money and endorsements rolling in, women throwing themselves at him, life is perfect until an injury temporarily sidelines him. Hunt has never been one to be told what to do, and regardless of how sexy and infuriating Julia Bailey is, he doesn't need anyone's help.
What follows is a battle of wills, a story of two people trying desperately at times to let the other in, what was apparent from so early on in the piece was the amount of research and knowledge that went into The Risk, Jordan's ability to entertain me while educating me never fails to disappoint. Noah and Julia clawed their way into my heart, the perfect balance of humour, heat and heart, I wanted to know more about them, I wanted Noah to open up and give someone a chance, I wanted Julia to open herself up to the possibility of finding something she thought was lost to her forever. I adored the interaction between hero and heroine, and loved the witty one liners and tender moments shared between secondary characters.
Skye Jordan never fails to leave me feeling content with a smile on my face after putting down one of her books, with the right blend of sexiness, hilarity and tender moments, The Risk is certainly a story I look forward to revisiting and I wait for what comes next.
