Dirty Rowdy Thing (Wild Seasons #2) by Christina Lauren - Review

From the New York Times bestselling author of Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player, Book Two of the brand-new Wild Seasons series that started with Sweet Filthy Boy—a story of friends, love, and lust.

Despite their rowdy hookups, Harlow and Finn don’t even like each other...which would explain why their marriage lasted only twelve hours. He needs to be in charge and takes whatever he wants. She lives by the Want-something-done? Do-it-yourself mantra. Maybe she’s too similar to the rugged fisherman—or just what he needs.

Kristine's Review:

Reviewed: November 2014.

In Sweet Filthy Boy we were introduced to Ansel and Mia's friends Harlow and Finn, after one wild night in Vegas that resulted in the pair marrying, to later dissolve their union after a night of crazy animalistic no holes barred sex, over the coming months Harlow travels to Canada to visit Finn, to recreate their wedding night, but for the most part these two have had no contact.

With the Opening of Oliver's comic book store everyone has regrouped to celebrate and Finn and Harlow again find themselves inextricably attracted to one another, both needing an outlet to distract themselves from personal drama. The banter and tension between Harlow and Finn is off the charts, the chemistry these two exude had me desperately flipping the pages, desperately trying to find out more about the strong stoic Finn and brash, loud Harlow.

With each new book by Christina Lauren I find myself declaring just how much I adored it, declaring it's their best work yet, so once again I sit here writing this, again singing it's praise. There were times I sat there screaming at my kindle, wanting these two to just talk to one another, to their friends, and in the moments that followed I found myself so completely wrapped up in their story that it was like space and time ceased to exist, I was immediately engrossed in Harlow and Finn, in their story together, in their characters apart, the more I read the more I needed to know and the more I simultaneously found myself speed reading the pages and trying the savour and enjoy the moment. With so much beauty in every page, Dirty Rowdy Thing not only lived up to every expectation I had, but surpassed them, this is surely a story that will stay with me, the superstar writing duo that is Christina Lauren, has quickly become a go to author for, and automatic 1click.
